Oil on canvas representing the portrait of a young woman from the Empire elegantly dressed in a blue dress enhanced with a chain, signed J. Volpelière and dated 1829, in a gilded stucco frame, from the 19th century.
This painting is in good condition. Signed egt dated on the left side. It has been re-covered.

*Volpelière Miss L.P. Julie (1790-1842):
History and portrait painter. Pupil of Serangeli. She exhibited at the Salon from 1808 to 1838. Second class medalist in 1810. The Versailles Museum has a painting of her "Jourdain lieutenant colonel in the 2nd battalion of Haute-Vienne" (1792). We still quote "Saint-Martin" for a church in Perpignan.
