Charming portrait of a young boy , three-quarter length with his hair down , wearing a white shirt and a gray jacket.
French work from the late 18th or early 19th century, the canvas has been marouflaged on a wooden panel, and the work, measuring 38 by 47, is presented in a gilded composition-style frame.
A lovely work, similar to the portraits in Jean Baptiste Greuze's studio, the young boy's attitude and expression reflect the same "exsprit" as in the famous painter's works.
