Magnificent oil on canvas from the workshop of Pierre-Paul Prud’hon (1758-1823), titled: “Love reduced to Reason” and dated 1802.
The painter repeats here, point by point, the drawing finished in 1793, adding the stone wall and the two columns surmounting the bas-relief at the bottom.
Very good state of conservation.
