    Beautiful set of oils on canvas depicting two scenes of Spanish rural life in the 19th century.
    The first painting represents two men in the shade of a building, discussing, accompanied by their horses. A dog and a child are added to this scene. In the background, a smoking lime kiln and the entrance to a city in the distance appear. This episode of Hispanic life intrigues by the arrangement of its characters. Indeed, the central figure honors the two horses eating fodder.
    The second painting depicts a woman and a man traveling with their animals. The woman, reminiscent of Mary, stands side-saddle on a brown horse. She lowers her eyes lost in thought. Her companion, a shepherd's staff resting on her shoulder, watches over her. Accompanied by cows, a hen, a horse and sheep, they leave the city whose ramparts appear in the distance.
