In need of some care and attention.
Lovely painting of a pair of koi carp with calligraphy expressing (this is an approximate translation) a dedication by Huang Chi (?) "To Mr and Mrs Kao Li Chih for a Merry Christmas and a healthy New Year" and dated Winter of 1958.
This painting has two tears to the border area (largest 1 cm, the other 0.5 cm), which I hope would be fairly easily fixed, the main issue is the foxing. You will see from the reverse that it has been stuck onto something at some point and at other times during its existence, it appears to have been folded. Please look carefully at the photos. This painting is unframed and is being sold "as is."
Approximate dimensions are: externally - 58 cms x 36.5 cms; actual painting 42 cms x 29 cms.
