A little Mythology:
Achilles is entrusted by his mother Thetis to the centaur warrior Chiron from an early age.
Chiron educates him, teaching him to hunt and to become a skilled horseman. Then he taught him the art of weapons: sword, javelin, shield and unarmed combat.
In addition to the arts of war, Chiron taught Achilles the more peaceful arts of music, herbal medicine and eloquence.
