A sumptuous trompe l'oeil painting depicting a "Still Life with Wildflowers." This work is superbly crafted, with everything painted: from the magnifying glass effect of the panel to the gilded motifs and even the marquetry. Created on a wooden panel mounted on a stretcher, the work is signed by Jacques Lejeune (distinguished artist - see attached bio) and dated 1996. It is presented in a frame of excellent craftsmanship.
Size of the stretcher: 38 x 46 cm (8F format), with frame: 59 x 67 cm.
