Born in Brussels, Pierre Saint-Sorny was surrounded by art from an early age. At the age of 18, he entered the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Brussels. Attracted by light and color, in 1976 the artist decided to settle with his wife in Provence. Exhibited at the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire de Provence in 2002, under the title La Provence de Pierre Saint-Sorny, the artist donated most of his Provençal work to the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire de Provence in Grasse.
