Born in Pau, student of Léon Bonnat, he exhibited every year at the Salon of French Artists from 1897, became a member of the jury and was classified as out of competition. His works are kept at the Luxembourg Museum and the Petit-Palais as well as in numerous fine arts museums, among others, in Philadelphia, Sydney, Pau, Saint-Étienne, Bourges, Vierzon and Roubaix. The canvas Luxembourg is at the Senate Palace and Boatmen at Port Henri-Quatre at the Petit-Palais. At the Ministry of Agriculture there is the decorative panel Le Blé and the decoration of the large living room

Paul-Michel Dupuy, a brilliant colorist touched by impressionism, was described in his time as a 'painter of life and movement'. He particularly enjoys depicting childish scenes, which he places in parks, public gardens or on the beaches of the Basque coast and Biarritz.
