Large original oil on original canvas, signed lower right and titled on the back.
Beautiful work by the artist representing a woman knitting, comfortably seated in her deck chair, in the middle of her garden.
A true haven of peace drowned in greenery, with pots, planters and flowerbeds, trees and shrubs with dense foliage and this charming stone staircase leading to an equally charming house with partly closed shutters so as not to let the summer heat in too much.
The colors are rich but remain soft, the atmosphere is palpable; a very pleasant invitation to join our host. Very nice frame.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Paul LOISEAU was a pupil of Paul Louis LAVALLEY. From 1921, he exhibited his works at the Salon des Independants in Paris, presenting portraits of women and children. Oils, watercolors or pastels, his Post-Impressionist works are bright, often with a more or less predominant blue that he particularly liked. As a painter of portraits, landscapes, seascapes, house or apartment interiors, still lifes and genre scenes, his creations whose style slightly "blurred" characterizes him, always leave appear sweetness and serenity whatever the subject being treated. A vast colorful palette.
Born June 13, 1893 in Paris, he died in the 1970s. The works of Paul LOISEAU are not common on the Market..
