Pierre Mitiffiot de Belair, born in Lyon on October 29, 1892 and died in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon1 on April 17, 1956, was a French painter.

Biography

Son of painter Fernand de Belair, portraitist, decorator and poster artist, a pupil of François Flameng, Jean-Paul Laurens and Adolphe Déchenaud, and a member of the Société lyonnaise des beaux-arts and the Société nationale des beaux-arts, he exhibited in Lyon, Tunis, Paris, London, New York and Germany, and made a name for himself at the 1929 Salon des artistes français with his paintings Coulisses du cirque and Terrasse de brasserie.
