Oil on canvas representing a burnt city near a river , the canvas is in good condition , original canvas , it represents the fire of Smyrne(IZMIR) of 1763
This tile is a Volaire workshop for Chevalier Volaire 1729 1795 , the work is presented in an Empire period wood and gilded stucco frame.
Volaire collaborated with Joseph Vernet on Louis XV's famous commission for his views of French ports, which helped make him a household name, but it was in Naples in 1767, the final stop on his grand tour, that Volaire produced many of his best-known works.
