Acrylic painting on canvas depicting a seascape, signed Marijane lower right. This colorful work features boats washed up on a beach, a few meters from houses, with the wild coastline and calm sea in the background. The canvas is surrounded by a magnificent gilded wood frame with moldings, friezes, scrolls and shells.
Marijane Le Goaster is a complete artist who graduated from the Fine Arts School in Quimper. She paints a variety of subjects in acrylic: landscapes and seashores, fishermen on foot, regattas, still lifes and portraits.
Her painting is generous and dynamic. From a classical style, she has moved towards a more pared-down style. Her color palette is as varied and luminous as a Breton sky.
