French school from the beginning of the 19th century, Marine in the style of Charles François Lacroix of Marseille, Evening light on Fort Saint Jean at the exit of the old Port of Marseille. Oil on canvas presented in an Empire period palmette frame.

Beautiful painting with lovely light, well animated with several picturesque characters and boats. The buildings of Fort Saint Jean are clearly recognizable. Our painting lends itself well to completing a decoration from the end of the 18th century or the beginning of the 19th century.
