Charles Euphrasie Kuwasseg was a pupil of Durand-Brager and Eugène Isabey.
But he was first a long-distance sailor before becoming an official painter who
exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1855. Today, his works are
in numerous museums, including the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Rouen
Rouen, Rennes and Fécamp.
