his biography:
Awarded by the Guy Foundation in Chambéry in 1901, he exhibited at the Beaux-Arts et Arts Appliqués in Bourges in 1913.
After starting in Toulon in advertising, he moved to Moret-sur-Loing in 1930.
From 1932, he sold his paintings himself in a shop in Saint-Ouen then, from 1946, he moved to one of the shops of the Saint-Ouen Flea Market in Biron.
He then returned to Moret-sur-Loing (38 rue Grande) where he painted a wide variety of subjects, landscapes and suffering characters (he was nicknamed "the painter of beggars"). He also illustrated several books and participated in many exhibitions.
Through his talent, he would give an analysis of his time, where young people like him were victims of the monstrosity of the Great War and an industrial revolution that would leave so many women and men by the wayside.
"His paintings of landscapes of Savoy, the South-West of France and the Moret region will all be beautifully crafted, as well as the portraits he made, again representing everyday characters: boatman, quarryman, farmer, wheelwright, clog maker, "biffin", etc.".
He married Irène Vaurin on December 29, 1964 in Moret-sur-Loing.
Zanaroff died on June 12, 1966, and is buried in the cemetery of Moret-sur-Loing, where a street bears .
