Pierre Cayol was born in Salon-de-Provence in 1939. His meeting at
Eygalières with Marcel Féguide, whose pupil he will become, will have
a huge influence on his career. He undertakes studies
arts at the School of Decorative Arts in Grenoble, and pursues them
by courses in Industrial Aesthetics at the Applied Arts in Paris
(1960-1962). After a short stint at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, he will follow
courses at the Académie Julian in Paris (1964-1966). Drawing becomes
quickly for him a kind of second nature. Thus, the drawing will be the basis
solid construction of his work.
