Magnificent pastel and black stone on cardboard, signed Junji Yamashita. Dimensions: 54 cm x 44 cm
Junji Yamashita possesses a sense of light, or lights, that is uniquely his own. His palette, often concentrated on one or two dominants, and his superb technique are at the service of a highly original conjunction of the first impression of the motif and visual memories, which blossoms in the sketched composition, orchestrated then taken up again and re-orchestrated."
