Old oil painting (technique called knife) on cardboard panel representing a port, probably in the south of France. This painting is sold as an attribution (no expertise having been carried out). The signature on the work remains confused and difficult to read (see the close-up photo).
The work is nevertheless signed and on the back there is a handwritten attribution to "Gagliardini": the invoice, the technique, the age and the theme may evoke the work of Julien Gustave GAGLIARDINI (1846 -1927), an artist whose view of the Côte d'Azur sold in 2019 for 4000 euros.

An old laminated label possibly locates the work in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat (Alpes-Maritimes in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region).

Good condition given the age of the work. Healthy pictorial layer, a light cleaning could give this painting a surplus of brightness, panel having played a little (slightly convex). The frame is offered with.
