The painting is in excellent condition, with a clean, healthy paint layer - note two old restorations invisible from the front (and taken close-up - see photos).
    The work is signed by Hélène Foucault (born March 6, 1886 in Paris, died March 15, 1959 in Versailles, painter, student of Ferdinand Humbert at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Paris, exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1911 to 1920, drawing teacher for the city of Paris).
