Oil painting on panel (pitchpin) by the Belgian artist Tony Reniers (1923-2013) Work entitled "Le Toulourenc" dated and signed 1995. This is a very nice composition of this river, very appreciated by the locals (Drômois and Vauclusiens) and the tourists. The artist has captured the tempestuous and torrential character of the river. The framing is very original and the palette luminous. Tony Reniers was a student of Lucien Hock (1899-1972). He lived and painted Provence with passion. For me he is a great landscape painter.
