This oil on canvas is signed Louis Neillot (1898-1973), a French painter, part of the Fauvism movement. His work mainly includes still lifes, landscapes and nudes, as well as the flowers and trees in his Verger garden. It is notable for the power of the colors, but also for a strong structure where the influence of Cézanne, whom he particularly admired, can be seen.

The work has been restored and cleaned, note old restorations on the back (visible in the photos), patches were applied some time ago. However, the work is in good general condition, it has a beautifully crafted rear frame.
