    Joseph CROZES, painter born in Arvieu (Aveyron), active from the 1930s to the 1950s. Although he mainly painted landscapes, he also devoted himself to still lifes. In the capital, he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1933, at the Salon des Indépendants from 1938 and at the Salon d'Automne in 1941.
    His style is very often similar to Post-Impressionism, like this superb painting, an oil on canvas from the 1930s/1950s featuring a view of Douarnenez from Tréboul (Finistère).
    Work signed lower right, countersigned and titled on the back. Presence of a label from a union of artists from Charente-Maritime indicating the Salon des Indépendants as the origin of the work.
    Dimensions: Format 12 P. Height 46 cm. Width 61 cm (59.5 cm x 74.5 cm with its frame).
