Magnificent panoramic view of the Seine Valley from the small town of Heudebouville located on the banks of the river not far from the town of Louviers in Normandy. Although a priori wintry, the landscape that the painter offers us is nonetheless devoid of generous and luminous colors whose usual diversity is no longer to be underlined when one knows the works of Jean SIEURIN.
In the background, we can see a barge (at center to the right) and a few houses on the hill, including maybe a small church (at top left).

ABOUT THE ARTIST
« With exemplary fidelity, Jean SIEURIN was and remains one of the most sincere disciples of the late Albert MALET (1912-1986), this Impressionist Master of the School of ROUEN. It is always a great pleasure to meet both the man, friendly, natural, helpful and sporty, and the painter, always attentive to the particular emotion of the banks of the Seine, in his neo-impressionist way, revised and lightened. with a perfectly personal touch, but consistent with the luminosity of a palette to which he has fortunately accustomed many amateurs, describing with real brilliance his favorite motifs from Normandy and Brittany. Jean SIEURIN adores these fluid sites where skies, waters and nature reign, compositions that he animates peacefully, with his sensitive generosity and quivering touch. His painting moves, captures the light, the colors, the effects, for the greatest charm of a traditional realism, posed by a perfect knowledge of the profession and the talent that this artist knows how to sometimes reinforce with the dapperness of a few bouquets with multiple attractions ».
