The scene is animated by figures in boats and in the foreground a monk in prayer. Oil on canvas in oval format, presented in a Rocaille style frame in gilded wood with gold leaf. First half of the 19th century.

    Pretty painting, very decorative, evocative of the gentle way of life of the aristocracy at the beginning of the 19th century. The architecture of the property is typically Dauphinoise, from the 18th century. At this stage of our research, we have not been able to identify it.

    Very good condition, painting on its original canvas, cleaned, as well as the frame gilded with gold leaf.
