    Paisaje en Andalucia (Landscape in Andalousia)
      by Antonio Gomar y Gomar ((Beniganim 1849 - Madrid 1911)
     spanish impressionist painter , pupil of  Rafael Montesinos y Ramiro (1811-1877) . Gomar was a friend of Joachim Sorolla (a portrait of Gomar y Gomar by Sorolla  is kept in the Museum Prado Madrid, as well as several landscapes by Gomar). Mainly landscape painter, 
    Oil on canvas, signed bottom right.
    Relined in the fiftie's for appropriate conservation, whereas good condition.
    Framed in a gilted 19c. frame.

Destacó en su época por realizar frescos de pintura decorativa de lugares como el Casino de Madrid, en su momento el Café de Fornos   y el comedor  del   palacio de los duques de Santoña.
