    OIL ON CANVAS 100X80CM.
Michel Graff was born in Paris in 1938, he lives and paints in Draveil
(Essonne). In 1959 he obtained his Diploma of Applied Arts in Paris. In
1961 he began working as an art drawing teacher.
City of Paris. Between 1966 and 1968, he attended the painting workshop
Jac Adam in Issy les Moulineaux. In 2010 he won the Charles Prize
Oulmont of the Fondation de France.
For Michel Graff, painting has been a vocation since childhood. A long
way to go. After a school of Applied Arts, a few years
teaching and a long stint in an architecture firm,
Michel Graff's personal work was gradually built.
Following a “necessary passage” through the figurative, enriched by teaching
by Jac Adam, and after a long gestation a liberated work is finally born
and strong. Faced with this absolute freedom that the “blank page” represents
of the canvas, the artist imposes a “framework” on his painting, like a
invisible structure which channels the tension and energy of the work.
Bright colors, bold connections, subtle geometry
taking into account both living forms and abstract landscaping, we
transmit all the power of the work
