1929 Dikran Dadérian born in Beirut on October 29. Spends his childhood in the mountain town of Zahlé, where he attends the Baleghian School. 1943 Leaves for Cyprus, where he attends the Melkonian Institute in Nicosia. Having completed his studies, he takes a two-year course in teaching and pedagogy. 1949 Returns to Zalhé, where he teaches for two years, taking a keen interest in children's drawings. Meets painter Georges Cyr at the French Embassy in Beirut, and with him organizes the "Lebanese Children's Drawings" exhibition at the French Cultural Center. 1953 Arrives in Paris and settles there permanently. Attends the Beaux-Arts, Académie Ranson, Grande Chaumière and finally the Académie Gœtz. Makes the acquaintance of many contemporary artists, Tutundjian, Bryen, Le Moal, Vieira da Silva etc. 1958 First exhibition at the Galerie de Beaune. 1974 The State buys him a large triptych for the City of Paris. 1978 Professor at the Académie Gœtz. 1983 Takes over the Académie Gœtz, which now becomes the Académie Gœtz-Daderian.
