Superb psyche table mirror in mahogany and mahogany veneer with ebony fillet edging.
Pure lines, very sober decorations.
Neoclassical style, mercury bevelled mirror encircled by mahogany veneer and ebony fillet.
The mirror is supported by two obelisks decorated with bronze apples.
Opens with 3 drawers, 2 small and one large.
Rests on 4 straight mahogany veneered legs.
Very high quality work from the early 19th century; elegant, sober lines.
In good general condition, but with some wear and tear, veneer grafts and a mercury mirror in very damaged condition.
The bronze apples holding the mirror are not of the period, but later, but the overall harmony is beautiful.
Note a mark on the top (see photos).
Beautiful patina and rare model.
