This charming little mirror from the Napoleon III period is in the Regency style, it is bordered by a sinuous rosewood molding and a row of gilt bronze beads, the glass is mercury, its stain is somewhat altered but its "old silver" color is of the most beautiful effect. The mahogany back is equipped with a kind of foot which is used to place the set on a piece of furniture when it is unfolded. In the closed position, the device makes the back of the object perfectly flat and allows wall hanging. We dismantled the rear support and found the date on which it was manufactured and the name of the craftsman who produced it, inscribed on the soul of the piece of furniture, that is April 10, 1863 by Jacques de Malmedy.
19th century period.
