Louis XV Provence XVIIII period carved and gilded wood mirror, known as the Beaucaire mirror.
Mirror with parecloses, decorated with grapevines and vine leaves on the uprights and a fruit basket motif on the pediment, the original mercury mirrors.
Contrary to popular belief, this mirror was not made in Beaucaire, but sold at the annual fair, which at the time was one of the most important in France and even Europe! A large number of French "industrial" products were sold at the time.
This mirror is presented in its original gilding, with its antique mirrors and backgrounds, a highly decorative classic.
