Large Louis XIV style glazing beads mirror in ebonized wood and rich embossed and gilded copper decor. The pediment is decorated with a basket motif of overflowing flowers surrounded by two winged chimeras with open mouths. The central mirror in beveled glass has a double frame of carved wood and friezes of copper flowers enriched at the corners with spandrels decorated with baskets of flowers.

This type of mirror was very fashionable from the reign of Louis XIV until the end of the 18th century.
