High and narrow mirror from the 18th century in very good condition, remarkable for its large openwork pediment resting on a carved frame in gilded wood with gold leaf.
The pediment represents a period hat accompanied by a musical instrument and tools. It is topped with laurel branches that are also found at the base. The rectangular frame, which encases the mercury mirror, is carved with friezes of pearls and hearts. In each of its corners, a rosette is highlighted and accompanied by laurel leaves. In the lower part, the mirror has leafy feet. This mirror is accompanied by a small page of history with the handwritten mentions of the recipient and the date "June 22, 1768".
