    Rare mid-19th century Louis Philippe Neapolitan mirror in gilded and carved wood.

    The distinctive concave-convex shape ends in a cymatium with a finely carved rocaille motif.

    The 24-carat gold leaf gilding is applied to a layer of substance serving as a support, on which the gold leaf is then applied.

    The mercury mirror is original to the period.
