Large mirror with wooden and gilded stucco glazing beads.
The main mirror is framed by baguettes decorated in the Bérain style. The beveled-paneled mirrors framing the latter are decorated at the corners with spandrels forming palmettes, flowers and undulating scrolls.
At the top, the graceful arched pediment is framed by two chimeras. Moving among gadrooned volutes, two birds face each other. The glazing beads are placed in a lively frame decorated with leafy and floral motifs and ending with a large palm.
This large mirror is particularly representative of the Regency. Its classic lower part is part of a lively, symmetrical pediment with balanced decoration.
Regency period, 18th century. Usual restorations.
