Ichimonji Jingasa
Japan, Edo period (1603-1868)
Wood and lacquer
Diameter: 37 cm

This circular headdress is made of wood, finely decorated with textured lacquer on the top and smooth, glossy lacquer on the reverse.
The mon, the family heraldic symbol, is applied to the front.
On the reverse, the hat is red lacquered.
