Beautiful dragon officer's helmet: Chrome-plated metal bomb, copper headband embossed with a flaming grenade with laurel leaves. Chinstraps composed of 9 ornamental leaves in cut copper, embossed in relief with laurel leaves, tapering in width. Circular rosettes featuring laurel leaves in relief. The bomb is surmounted by a gilded copper crest composed of two fins, and a Medusa head mask in relief on the face. Mane of black-tinted horsehair. Embossed copper plume holder, officer's plume in tricolor curled rooster feathers. France Third Republic, 14/18 War. Good condition with traces of use. Small alteration to the cock feather plume. Size 57 cm.
