Three-horned shape, H front 12.5 cm, H back 19.5 cm, in waterproof felt, trimmed on each side of the horns with 3.2 cm wide silver braid woven in Hungarian stitch. Flat gimp 5 cm wide, with 4 mm black stripe down the center, ending in a point, gimp length approx. 11 cm. Cocarde in tricolor colors, diameter 7.5 cm. Silver-plated uniform button stamped with the flaming bomb and the legend "Gendarmerie - Ordre Public". Inner cap in black fabric partly marked "..... Accepted Gendarmerie". New number 557.
Good condition, cap worn. Size 56/57 cm.
