    In black felt, underlined by a wide woven silk braid, representing a race of naval anchors inscribed in a garland of oak leaves. Three twisted matte-gold braids double around a large-module gilded uniform button for an imperial naval officer, stamped with an anchor and surmounted by the imperial crown. Red satin headdress interior, marked in gold letters with the hatmaker's mark "Malinjoud Brest". Good overall condition, with a small alteration to the edge of the headdress, visible in photo no. 6, headdress worn. size 55 cm.
