Hollowed walnut shell, with a frame encircled by thin alloy bands decorated with a frieze and hinge. It has a suspension ring. It contains seven Nontron knives with nickel silver blades and pyrographed boxwood handles: six 27 mm Nontron walnut knives with blades and one 15 mm Nontron hazelnut knife.
These miniature knives are considered among the smallest knives in the world.
