    Short Japanese sword, wakizashi
    Japan, 19th century, Edo period (1603-1868)
    Long. total: 50cm;
    Long. of the blade: 42.5cm; Nagasa: 31.5cm
    Blade weight: 248 grams

    Blade (sugata): slightly curved, with Toran ha temper line.
    Habaki in copper.
    The rocket is in white shagreen, braided in brown, topped with a pair of menuki extras of the jingaza weapon hats.
    Fuchi-Kashira en suite with foliage extras and a stirrup surmounted by a silver moon.
    Iron tsuba, pierced and engraved with lines.
    Sheath (saya) in black lacquered wood.
    Alloy kozuka decorated with foliage and birds (reported).
