Total length: 94; Blade length: 80.5 cm

Troop saber with short cap, extending to form the cruise and the quillon, curved and finished with a button, stamped: "17" and stippled.
Leather-covered wooden spindle, watermarked with twisted copper wire.
Curved, hollow-point blade, marked "Châtellerault Aout 1831", stamped "2" and stamped on the heel.
Sheet steel scabbard, stamped "265", two rings of bélières.
Check marks.
