European work from the 19th century
    Steel and silver-plated bronze
    Total length: 24.5; L.: 4.8 cm

This romantic dagger, also called a dagger of virtue, is made of steel and silver-plated bronze, worked in the round. The fuse is animated by Saint Michael armed with a dagger, slaying the dragon. The crossguard is centered on a bearded man's head, the guard with two quillons is in the form of leafy scrolls. The scabbard has a similar decoration on both sides: organized along an axial axis of symmetry, a winged owl's head tops a cartouche and flowery arches.
