    Edo period tsuba, signed Morikuni of the Shoami school (1716-1748)
    Certificates of authenticity: NBTHK - Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu "Mounting element to be particularly preserved" and NTHK-NPO - Kanteisho "Important work".

    Construction: Tatemaru-gata, kaku-mimi ko-niku (ovoid shape with angular, slightly rounded rim).
    Mei (Signature): Yoshu Matsuyama ju Shoami Morikuni (Shoami Morikuni, resident of Matsuyama in Iyo province).
    Motifs: The three monkeys of wisdom - "See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil".
