    Sword lin gin or Kachin dha, northern Burma
    First third of the 20th century
    Wood, plant fibers, steel, brass and leather
    Long. Of the sword: 59; Long. blade: 44.5cm
    Long. Total: 72.5cm

    The handle, called an ulu, is made of wood covered in leather; the rectangular pommel, made of bone, is riveted by four star points; brass bolster decorated with a frieze.
    The single-edged, two-tone steel blade is obliquely finished.

    The sheath, called a Kumpang, is made of a cut and engraved wooden blade, equipped with four straps of braided plant fibers and a wider loop allowing the fine suspension handle to slide.
