Total length: 135 cm - Barrel length: 100 cm
October-sided barrel, then round; dated 1818 and hallmarked DT on the left side. The right side bears the hallmark of Inspector Louis Nottret: N in an oval.
Flintlock of the An XIII pistol; it is signed Mre Royale de Versailles and bears the hallmark G under the star of the reviser Augustin Germain. It is hallmarked SP on the inside.
Trigger guard with underguard. Brass fittings with the hallmarks D or H for Jean-Baptiste Deschaseaux, first-class inspector, and Jean-Baptiste Hardy, second-class inspector. Iron doors.
Walnut frame with long fore-end.
Iron ramrod with nail head; hallmarked.
An aluminum pellet is attached to the trigger guard; it bears the collection number T108.
An IX bayonet with socket, small size, model of military schools; median ridge and ferrule. Hallmarked RR. L.T.: 37.5 cm
This light rifle was manufactured exclusively by the Versailles Manufacture, which produced 201 in 1817 and 200 in 1818, the last production before the factory closed.
Very good condition. Rare, as is its bayonet.
