Round barrel, with rifled bore, crimping lever fixed on the underside. Marked on the top ADDRESS Col. Colt’s Patent NEW YORK USA and serialized 5028 on the underside.
Five-chamber fluted cylinder, marked PATENTED SEPT 10th 1850, with English punches. Brass front sight.
Closed frame, with English control punches, and caliber marking located behind the hammer.
Side hammer, single action operation. Spur trigger.
Serialized 5028 on the butt.
Butt plates in selected and varnished wood.

Very good condition. Re-blued packaging by gunsmith.

Original English case; in oak, screwed assembly, with brass badge on the lid. The interior is lined with red felt (restored) the accessories are later.
