Barrel with sides, then round; dated “75” on the side and control marks.
Breech tail engraved 1775.
Flintlock signed “Manufacture de Saint Etienne”, hallmarked “HR” crowned for Hugo Rozier, this hallmark appeared between 1774-1771; and engraved “La Thuilerie”, the latter is the entrepreneur of the factory.
All brass fittings.
Nail-headed wand, hallmarked with an “S” surmounted by a star.
Walnut frame, hallmarked with a fleur-de-lys under crown framed with the initials “S.E. B. R.” hallmark of the Boulanger controller, indicating that the weapon was finished, this type of marking appeared between 1763-1784).
Very good state of conservation.
