Two large bay windows from an Art Deco hotel on the Côtes d'Armor seafront (Saint Cast Le Guildo, coast from Saint Briac to Cap Fréhel).
Overall, they are in very good condition, very solid and rigid. The paint has played its protective role, and a simple brushing reveals steel in very good condition (see last photo).
Each bay has four panels, maximum height 262 cm total width 381 cm
Width from left to right (photo1): 110 - 83 - 80 - 108 cm = 381 cm (twice)
Door dimensions: height 220 cm width 163 cm (83+80 cm)
They were installed in 1925. The peripheral frames are in 35mm angle iron, while the other metal elements are in 25mm angle iron. The two large pull handles are in ribbed wrought-iron. The doors hinge on a metal pivot.
Overall, they are in very good condition, very solid and rigid.
In addition to their large glazed surface area, the windows have an obvious graphic quality. They can be used to liven up the facade of an outbuilding or store, or to create a surprise in a hotel or workshop .....
The doors are attractively monogrammed 'HPS' with the name of the hotel: Hôtel des Pierres Sonnantes, a monogram that can be reused as a signature.
