At the water's edge, a pheasant has landed on a rock surrounded by flowers. Above, a butterfly flutters among the bamboo.
This pair of stained-glass windows is typical of the vegetation and naturalistic scenes fashionable in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Two breaks have been restored with a thin tin tie (bottom left pieces and bottom of the pheasant's tail).
Painted with gisaille and enamels on cathedral glass. Lead-bonded. Original wooden frame.
